I told you guys about my brother and I going to the Rosemont Horizon (Allstate Arena) to watch AWA cards back in the mid 80's. Those were some awesome cards back then. Rick Martel was World Champion, The Road Warriors were tag champs. It was great stuff. The best was Superclash 85 at the old Comiskey Park. Martel defended the AWA title against Stan Hansen, Ric Flair defended the NWA title against Magnum T.A., The Warriors against Hayes and Gordy. A six man tag with a very young and sober Scott Hall.

FroDog
Kennedy and Taz may well wind up in TNA but I don't why they'd want Kennedy. He's an injury waiting to happen. Taz is rumoured to be advising the recently turned heel Samoa Joe. We'll see.

Robert,

I went to TNA Bound For Glory last year at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates. It was a really good show. I got to see Kurt Angle, Sting for the first time and Christian. It was sad seeing only about 2,000 people for their biggest pay-per-view of the year.

I think TNA's problem is that they have talent but they aren't big stars and who knows when or if they will be. The stars they do have are past their prime. (Angle, Booker, Nash, Sting, Foley etc.)

I am really looking forward though in the coming months to see how TNA fares with Mr. Kennedy and Taz entering the company. Mr. Kennedy is main-event ready and will bring a new audience in.

I'm a fan too Fro. I just don't follow it like I used too cause I didn't like the direction that WWE was taking with they're story lines. They seemed like they were getting stale, using the same old story lines that had been ran over and over before. I have watched a couple recently and the shows do seem better now. Except they still keep Bradshaw as a main eventer and he's not. They never should have let Angle leave the company. As far as Live events go. I have been to 2 Smackdown events and both times I thought I got my money's worth out of it. The first one I went too, was the first Smackdown event that they had ever had in the Quad Cities. I believe it was, although I could be wrong about that. I had floor seats about 7-8 rows back and paid about 30 bucks for them, and they had every main eventer there for it. And The Rock and Austin put on a show that night. I remember they had a couple dark matches before the whole even started and Brock Lesner was one of the matches. At the time of course I had no clue who the hell he was except he was a huge son of a bitch with a giant tatt on his back. If you go to a live event that's when you can really tell what these guys put they're bodies through. Everything is fake about it except for defying gravity. When these guys are jumping off turn buckles, ladders, tables, steel cages. That shit isn't fake. You can't fake gravity. Not to mention the constant bumps they take in the ring.
